Nerses Shnorhali Spiritual Choir of “Hayartun” Educational, Cultural and Youth Center visits Akhaltskha

On October 26, on the occasion of the “Tbilisoba” holiday, the Nerses Shnorhali Spiritual Choir of “Hayartun” Educational, Cultural and Youth Center visited Akhaltskha under the leadership of choirmaster Mariam Abulyan, pianist Karen Mirzoyan and the Center’s director Levon Chidilyan.

The choir performed several folk and spiritual songs at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Akhaltskha, after which the members of the choir visited the Armenian Educational-Cultural Center of Akhaltskha where the young members of the two youth centers had a chance to get to know each other.

As reported by Akhaltskha.Net, coordinator of the activities of Akhaltskha’s Youth Center Eduard Avazyan welcomed the guests’ visit to Akhaltskha, particularly the youth center and attached importance to the strengthening of cooperation between the two youth centers. According to Ayvazyan, such reciprocal visits are very important because they help Armenian youth get to know each other and establish contacts.

Director of the “Hayartun” Center Levon Chidilyan donated books to the Youth Center of Akhaltskha, including textbooks devoted to the history of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and several instructional compact discs.

The members of the Nerses Shnorhali Spiritual Choir of “Hayartun” Center and the young members of the Youth Center of Akhaltskha performed folk songs together.

The members of the senior dance group of the Armenian Educational-Cultural Center of Akhaltskha performed several dances that they had learned.

After the visit to the youth center, the guests visited the St. Nshan Church and the Vahram Gaifejyan Union of Creators.
