President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades received Catholic Vicar of Cyprus, Archbishop Nareg Alemezian and state representative of the Cypriot-Armenian community Vardges Mahdessian at the presidential residence.
Azad Or repots that the President presented the political and economic situation in Cyprus and attached importance to the role of the Cypriot-Armenian community in the country’s development.
During the meeting, Archbishop Nareg Alemezian stressed the fact that he has come to Cyprus with great experience in inter-church and interreligious relations and will contribute to all initiatives aimed at enhancing the relations between the two churches.
