RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan receives President of the Argentinean-Armenian Cultural Association Adrian Lomlomdjian
On September 30, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received President of the Argentinean-Armenian Cultural Association Adrian Lomlomdjian.
The minister praised the efforts that the Argentinean-Armenian Cultural Association has been making throughout the past decades for effective implementation of activities aimed at preserving the Armenian identity within the Argentinean-Armenian community.
“Your parents are also the children of survivors of the Armenian Genocide. They migrated from Marash, settled in Aleppo and moved to Argentina. I’m pleased to see that you do everything possible to provide Armenian youth with an Armenian upbringing. The people of Armenia always applaud the performances of the Association’s Gayane Dance Ensemble in Armenia,” Minister Hranush Hakobyan mentioned.
Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception, Adrian Lomlomdjian presented the current issues concerning the Argentinean-Armenian community and mentioned that the Association doesn’t spare any effort to maintain the unity within the community.
The minister introduced Lomlomdjian to the plan to build the “New Aleppo” District and voiced hope that the Argentinean-Armenian community would show active participation in the support program for the district being built for Syrian-Armenians in Armenia.
The sides also discussed issues on implementation of the points stated in the joint declaration adopted after the 5th Armenia-Diaspora Conference within the Armenian community of Argentina.
