Reception dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of Armenia’s independence was held in Vietnam

On September 24, an official reception dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held at the ceremonies hall of Melia Hotel Complex in Hanoi, Vietnam, reports the MFA news service to “Hayern Aysor”.
Among the participants were high-ranking government officials, representatives of ministries, parliamentarians, several Ambassadors accredited to Vietnam, leaders of international organizations, diplomats, members of the presidency of the Armenia-Vietnam Friendship Group, representatives of public, political and economic circles, members of cultural associations and heads of mass media outlets.
The event began with opening remarks by RA Ambassador to Vietnam Rayisa Vardanyan, who talked about the path that Armenia has taken since independence, as well as the country’s successes and achievements.
Touching upon the Armenian-Vietnamese relations, the Ambassador praised the cooperation established on the basis of mutual interests and friendship and expressed confidence that the political, economic, cultural and scientific relations would grow stronger and deeper for the benefit of both nations.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Dang Minh Khoi delivered his congratulatory message on the occasion of Independence Day. Highly appreciating the Armenians’ contributions to the Vietnamese people’s struggle for independence, as well as Armenia’s and the Armenian people’s contributions to the country’s establishment and development, Minh Khoi mentioned that in spite of the geographical distance, the two nations have always stood side-by-side. In his speech, Minh Khoi also touched upon the latest developments of Armenian-Vietnamese relations and mentioned that RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Vietnam two years ago served as a new impetus for the development and deepening of the traditionally friendly relations.
