RA Minister of Diaspora condemns bombing of Holy Martyrs Armenian Church and calls on Diaspora Armenian organizations
On September 21, the TAHESH terrorist group bombed the historic church of the Holy Martyrs memorial complex built in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the Al Rashtieh district of the Syrian city of Deir Zor.
The RA Ministry of Diaspora strictly condemns this indescribable atrocity, the new manifestation of cultural genocide and calls on all Diaspora Armenian structures and organizations and the mass media to raise their voices of protest against this horrendous vandalism against the cherished holy place of the Armenian people, address the governments of their countries of residence, foreign embassies, international organizations and prestigious organizations involved with preservation of culture to condemn the crime against the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian people and all nations, humanity and all human civilization and take measures, that is, find ways to prevent such despicable crimes.
“I’m certain that as we approach the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, all Armenians will show their will and determination, making their voices heard around the world. I ask you to inform the Ministry of Diaspora about your actions,” Hranush Hakobyan mentioned in her message to the leaders and boards of Armenian structures and pan-Armenian organizations.
