Right after the opening ceremony of Armenian American painter Daniel Varoujan Hejinian’s personal exhibition, which was held at the National Gallery as part of the 5th Armenia-Diaspora Conference organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the participants of the conference, under the leadership of RA Minister of Diaspora, headed toward the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide memorial complex to pay tribute to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. The participants also laid flowers at the memorial complex, after which clergymen performed a Requiem Mass in memory of the martyrs.
Afterwards, the participants planted a symbolic tree at the Garden of Remembrance near Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide memorial complex in order to remember the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and the 5th Armenia-Diaspora Conference.
