RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted members of the Armenian Black Belt Association

On September 4, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received founding President of the Armenian Black Belt Academy, official representative of the World Kung Fu Tai Noi Federation, NKR Representative in countries of the Near East, Lebanese-Armenian Garo Kababjian.
Leaders of the international branches of the Armenian Black Belt Association (ABBA), public relations correspondent of the Armenian Black Belt Academy Abraham Gasparyan and other guests were also attending the meeting.
Greeting the guests, the Minister of Diaspora particularly mentioned: “Garo Kababjian has made invaluable contributions by helping preserve the Armenian identity in the Diaspora, keeping the Armenian spirit high and educating a generation of brave and unwavering Armenians. For 40 years, the Academy’s team has been able to win awards at different competitions. The Armenian Black Belt Academy is like a big camp for Armenian education and upbringing.”
Established in 1974, the Armenian Black Belt Academy has carried out activities with hundreds of Armenians in the Armenian communities of different countries around the world.
Public relations correspondent of the Armenian Black Belt Academy Abraham Gasparyan mentioned that the Academy has branches in Canada, Lebanon, Cyprus, Syria, Armenia and Artsakh and is planning on opening an office in Armenia.
In August, the team of the Armenian Black Belt Association received the title of world champion and dedicated its victory to the 40thanniversary of the Armenian Black Belt Academy, which was solemnly celebrated during the celebrations dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of Artsakh’s independence in Shushi.
Garo Kababjian was granted the Gold Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Armenian Black Belt Academy and for his invaluable contributions to preservation of the Armenian identity.
Garo Kababjian expressed his gratitude for the high award and mentioned: “I would also like to thank the President of the Republic of Armenia for having supported us since the days when he was the Minister of Defense. Nobody can win us. We must be strong. We will win together.”
