On August 16, in scope of “My Armenia” Festival, poetry evening dedicated to Siamanot’s birthday was held at Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall.

On behalf of the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Deputy Minister Serzh Srapionyan greeted the participants: “My warm greetings to you in your Homeland! I appreciate your participation in the event. For the first time, in scope of ″My Armenia″ Festival, Poetry Day has been organized, which is dedicated to exceptional poet Siamanto.  Hopefully, this day, which in future will become a tradition, will be received in packed halls″.  In his speech Serzh Srapionyan also stressed that “My Armenia» Festival is not only a cultural event, it is also a vivid expression of the collective Armenian identity and the national spirit. Culture is a powerful safeguard of the pan-Armenian unity, which, in this era of globalization, plays an important role by bridging the roots of the nation, its past, present and the future.

At the event, Levon Chidilyan (Tbilisi, Georgia), Hranush Saroyan (Kherson, Ukraine), Mariam Tovmasyan (Montreal, Canada), Tiranuhi Margarian-Karapetian (Aleppo, Syria), Pyunik Keshishian (Tehran, Iran), the pupils of Yerevan Mesrop Mashtots Center for Speech Culture (Artistic Director Nadejda Antonyan) performed.

At the end of the event, Artistic Director of the second ″My Armenia″ Pan-Armenian Festival Samvel Haroyan thanked the participants of the event and granted them letters of thanks for their participation.
