On July 23, the RA Honored Artist Ara Gevorgyan had a meeting with the participants of “Diaspora Summer School”. The famous composer – musician was greeted by the audience with a round of applause.

Ara Gevorgyan got acquainted with the participants; in his speech he attached an importance to the national values – the importance of the language, history and culture in the preservation of the Armenian identity, and also stated that during his concerts he presents, with pride, all the video materials related thereto. The composer of songs presented some of the works, all of those having one motto – “Piece”.

“Given my type, I am a person who loves peace and I wish that it would govern the world”- stated he and added that he seeks to achieve it through his art and music. Then “Song of Peace”, being performed by the representatives of various nations, was presented.

The atmosphere of the meeting was very warm; it will stay within the souls of our Diaspora compatriots for a rather long time.
