The Israel National News website reports that Israel’s Minister for Transport, member of the ruling Likud Party Eisrael Katz has counterattacked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan, who recently accused Israel of committing “a regular genocide” in Gaza.

The source reports: “On his Facebook page, Katz reminded Erdogan about the Armenian Genocide during which the Ottoman soldiers killed more than 1.5 million Armenians in 1915.”

“In 1915, the Turks massacred 1.5 million Armenians, and now Erdogan is accusing us of fighting against his friends who are members of the Islamic movement. Who would want to have relations with such a person?” the Israeli minister stated.
