By the decision of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, Armen Hayrapetyan has been appointed Deputy Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia.

1985-86: History teacher at Demitrov Middle School in Artashat region
1986-91: Instructor, sector manager for young students of the Central Committee of the Lenin Communist Youth Union of Armenia, Deputy Head of the Department for International Relations and Cooperation with the Diaspora

2010-11: Deputy Director General of Yama v Shcherbinke Ltd. (Russian Federation)
2011-12: RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora
Since 7 July 2014, he has been RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora.
