Recently a discussion devoted to the reforms of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia was held under the direction of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and with the participation of diocesan leaders and the Congregation of the Mother See at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Among the guests at the meeting organized as part of the public discourse on the draft of the Concept for Constitutional Reforms was President of the RA Constitutional Court, chairman of the professional committee on constitutional reforms adjunct to the RA President Gagik Harutyunyan, who introduced the Congregation to the provisions stated in the Concept and reflected in detail on the importance of the reforms, providing necessary clarifications regarding certain provisions.

During the discussion, the clergymen led by the Supreme Patriarch expressed their views on the Concept. The participants of the discussion attached importance to the public discourse on the document and voiced hope that the modified Concept and the envisaged reforms would be in line with the imperatives of the time and would serve for the reinforcement of the Homeland and the welfare of the people.
