UNESCO International Arts Education Week in Armenia
The whole world attaches importance to the role and significance of arts education. Evidence of this is the 36th sitting of the UNESCO General Conference, which has been declaring the fourth week of every May as the International Arts Education Week since 2012. As part of the International Arts Education Week, different kinds of goal-oriented programs and events will be held in Armenia with the support of the RA Ministry of Culture from May 19th to 31st.
The International Arts Education Week is a kind of a unique test to see what Armenia has achieved and what programs it carries out. Throughout the week, the public will be presented with the importance of arts education, the leading experience of foreign countries in arts education, as well as all the preconditions for development of the sphere that have been created and are reinforced through the programs carried out by the Armenian government, state bodies and non-governmental organizations. Development of arts education is one of the priorities of the RA Ministry of Culture, and the current and completed programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora will be widely presented throughout the week, as reported on the official website of the RA Ministry of Culture.
