More Armenians injured in Aleppo

The May 3 bombings in Aleppo took the lives of more Armenians, reports Aleppo’s news office to “ArmenPress”. The bombing near Aleppo State University left Armenian student Nairi Krikorian injured. Fortunately, he is in stable condition, and his life is not at risk.

On 3 May, dozens of bombs were dropped in different districts of Aleppo. Four of them were dropped in the Armenian-populated Azizie district of Aleppo, injuring and killing many. Among the victims is Priest of the Catholic Community, Father Gomidas Dadaghleian.

Earlier, a source reported that a gas bottle was dropped at Tigranian Park in New Village on 2 May, leaving 2 Armenians injured. Fortunately, Beno Pilaijian’s and Levon Hovhannisian’s lives are not at risk. The May 1 bombings also left Marlen Pokravorian and Eli Chilaboshian injured. Thus, throughout the past couple of days, more than a dozen Armenians have been injured in Aleppo.

Based on the statistics of the United Nations, more than 130,000 people have been killed during the three-year conflict in Syria, including more than 90 Armenians.
