Minister Hranush Hakobyan sends letter of gratitude to Primate of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, H. E. Bishop Haykazun Nadjarian

TO PRIMATE OF THE DIOCESE OF AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

H.E. BISHOP HAYKAZUN NADJARIAN

Your Eminence,

We would like to express our deep gratitude to you for properly organizing the presentation of the play “Komitas: Eternal Traveler” for our dear brothers and sisters in Australia, for opening the doors of the church for them and for receiving the artists from Armenia with open arms.

Today, more than ever, drawing the world’s attention to the crime of the 20th century has become an imperative. All Armenians have come together to make its claim seen and heard around the world. Culture, the presentation of the play devoted to the Great Komitas, who was also the symbol of the Genocide, help us remember the martyrs and advance our cause. Presenting the play in Armenian communities ahead of the Armenian Genocide Centennial also helps our communities unite as one and lead a greater struggle.

We thank you for attaching importance to the strengthening of the Homeland-Diaspora partnership, the preservation and development of Armenian culture and the reinforcement of national unity. We anticipate your support and blessing for the development of the Armenian community of Australia.

Once again, we convey our words of gratitude to you and wish you endless vigor to continue your pro-national and patriotic mission.

May God always be with you, our Church and the Armenian community!

Sincerely,

HRANUSH HAKOBYAN
