On Apr. 25, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received students of Hovnanian School of New Jersey accompanied by benefactor of the Mother See, Mr. Hrach Tufaian and the school’s representatives.

During the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians appreciated and gave his blessing to the 8th grade students of Hovnanian School, wishing them zeal, vigor and success.

His Holiness underlined with satisfaction the fact that the already traditional visits of the students to Armenia serve as a unique impetus for them to see all that they have learned about the Homeland and its rich history in their textbooks, become familiar with the mission of the Armenian Church in the lives of Armenians, as well as the sanctities and sacred heritage in the homeland. “This visit will have a strong impact on your self-awareness and you will take more pride in being Armenian,” the Catholicos of All Armenians said.

His Holiness urged the youth to maintain strong bonds with the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and stay true to the national identity and spiritual values. In the end, the Catholicos of All Armenians also mentioned that the parents of the students of Hovnanian School are patriotic, appreciated the consistency of the school’s curators and educators who help the students always love and remember the Mother Homeland, the Armenian Language and the Mother Church.
