Text of RA Acting Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan’s video message to participants of Euro-Armenian Games 2014

Dear participants of Euro-Armenian Games 2014, compatriots, guests,

I cordially congratulate you on the launch of Euro-Armenian Games 2014. Today, you are participating in a very important and pro-Armenian event.

The Euro-Armenian Games already have their special and important place in the Diaspora and among all Armenians and are turning into an event that is very important for national unity and the strengthening and development of relations between Armenian communities and the youth. Brilliant evidence of this is the expansion of the geography every year, the growing number of participants and the motivation that we see every year. It’s nice to see the elderly who convey more strength and energy with their experience and diligence. We must realize that these events are not only tournaments, but also a wonderful opportunity for national unity and solidarity, as well as for us to get to know each other better and establish friendly ties.

It gives me pleasure to see that you don’t forget your Armenian identity and are very excited to participate in this athletic event. I wish to see you participating in more athletic and other kinds of events in Armenia every year.

I am certain that your spirit to win and this athletic event will convey more energy to us all in order to make these Games serve as a basis for larger pan-national events in the years to come.

Dear compatriots,

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Euro-Armenian Games. On this occasion, I would like to congratulate you and the founders who were able to lay the foundation for this wonderful pro-national event and make it become a success.

I wish you all, the organizers of the Games in the previous years and the current year, the athletes, participants and supporters success, the mood and spirit to win and wish you continue the work that you started 20 years ago with greater enthusiasm and more diligence in the years to come.
