Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin commends the passing of the Armenian Genocide Resolution by the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee

On Apr. 12, the Inter-Church Council of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin held a subsequent session during which it particularly touched upon the passing of Armenian Genocide Resolution N 410 by the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

On this occasion, the Inter-Church Council addressed a letter to Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Robert Menendez in which it expressed the appreciation to him and the Committee members on behalf of the Armenian Church and His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

In the letter the Council particularly attaches importance to the passing of such a Resolution ahead of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and underlines the fact that this will serve as an impetus for the establishment of world peace, as well as for the prevention and condemnation of crimes against humanity, reports the Mother See information service to “Hayern Aysor”.
