Armenian FM received NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation
On Mar. 27, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan received the delegation of the political committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly led by chairman of the political committee José Lelo.
Greeting the delegates, the foreign minister praised the Armenia-NATO partnership and mentioned that the contacts between parliamentarians make an important contribution to that partnership.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the Armenia-EU cooperation and the reforms taking place in Armenia.
The foreign minister informed the foreign parliamentarians about Armenia’s views on the settlement of conflicts in the region.
At the guests’ request, Edward Nalbandyan presented the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
During the talks, the sides exchanged views on regional and international issues, the crisis in Ukraine and the ways of solving the crisis.
RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan called the attention of the delegates of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to the grave situation created as a result of attacks on Syria’s Armenian-populated region of Kessab and underlined the fact that the international community shouldn’t be indifferent toward the crudest violations of human rights, reports the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”.
