Results of 2013 Awards “For notable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity” to be summed up and diplomas to be handed

On Mar. 28 at 15:00, the results of the 2013 Awards “For notable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity” will be summed up and the winners will receive their diplomas during a solemn ceremony to be held at the RA Ministry of Diaspora (Address: 26/1 V. Sargsyan, Erebuni Business Plaza Center, 9th floor, Erebuni Hall).

The event will begin with welcoming remarks by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.

Among the participants will be Vice-President of the World Armenian Congress Aram Sargsyan and Vice-President of the Union of Armenians of Russia Vladimir Aghayan.

The annual Awards “For notable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity” have been held by the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia since 2010.

The contests are held in the following categories:

  • Defender of the Mother Language,
  •  Best Youth/Student Organization
  •  Best Work for Children (“Homeland, This Is How I See You” and “My Sweet and Precious Mother”),
  • Best Armenian Community in the CIS countries

The 158 individuals and organizations were from nearly 10 countries around the world. There are 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and encouraging prizes for all categories.
