There are little heroes in every game-people who immediately become popular and loved by everyone.
Georgian-Armenian Tamara Barbaryan, 13, can be considered a breakthrough athlete at the first Pan-Armenian Winter Games after scoring a gold medal in mountain skiing.
Tamara is a member of Georgia’s mountain skiing team and has participated in several tournaments.
Despite her achievements, the young athlete was very shy and wasn’t very talkative, but “Hayern Aysor” was managed to talk to her for a little while. Tamara was visiting Tsakhkadzor for the first time ever. “I loved Tsakhkadzor. The nature is beautiful, and there are great race tracks. I’m happy that I participated in the Games and was able to score a gold medal,” said Tamara.
One of the reasons why she didn’t want to give an interview was probably because she didn’t speak Armenian well, but she promised to learn the language and answer the questions in Armenian next time.
Let’s wish Tamara a successful career and hope she will score gold medals at international tournaments and will always remember that she scored her first gold medal in Armenia, the homeland.
