Proclamation of Friendship signed between Artsakh’s Hadrut city and France’s Vien city
On Feb. 21, a Proclamation of Friendship was signed between the Hadrut city of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the French city of Vien. The solemn signing ceremony was held at Vien Municipality.
The NKR MFA press service reports that NKR Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Narine Aghabalyan, who is on a working visit to France, signed the Proclamation on behalf of Hadrut city, and Mayor of Vien Jacques Remilie signed on behalf of Vien.
The Proclamation commends the steps taken by the people and authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh to shape and develop a free and democratic society and considers the isolation of the people of Artsakh as unacceptable. The Proclamation is aimed at enhancing the friendly relations between the two cities and promoting cooperation in education, culture, sports and several other spheres.
In 2013, the Martuni city of the NKR and the French city of Le-Pen-Mirabo also established friendly relations. There have been reciprocal visits, and the cities are discussing ways of enhancing their cooperation.
