Armenia participates in Minsk International Book Fair

On Feb. 4-7, acting Director of the Book and Publishing Center Eduard Militonyan participated in the 21st Minsk International Book Fair. The fair showcases more than 100 books and albums that have been printed over the past two years.

The presentation of the Armenian-Belarusian anthology “I Love You Homeland” was held in the booth of Belarus’s “Zvezda” Publishing House. Eduard Militonyan also participated in the consultation devoted issues related to children’s literature, set aside the problems with literature for Armenian children and presented the collection of works of Armenian children’s writers published in Russian.

During the event, the acting Director of the Book and Publishing Center also participated in the consultation devoted to the organizing of exhibitions in the CIS countries, met with schoolchildren and youth of the Armenian community in Minsk, as well as writers and publishers and discussed issues related to literature and publishing.

The RA Ambassador to Belarus helped set up the Armenian pavilion under the leadership of Ambassador A. Khachatryan.

The books published by state order and through government support were donated to the library of the RA Embassy in Belarus.
