РусскийINFORMATION On “Im Hayastan” (“My Armenia”) II Pan-Armenian Festival
We would like to inform you that in 2014 the Ministry of Diaspora is carrying out “Im Hayastan”(“My Armenia”) II Pan-Armenian Festival.
The objectives and tasks of “Im Hayastan” (“My Armenia”) Festival include the deepening of ties and increasing opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and Diaspora, contribution to the preservation of the Armenian culture and cultural identity, support to the strengthening and development of the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora ties, support to the development of new formats of cooperation, deepening of ties between the young artists of Armenia and Diaspora, assistance to the elaboration and implementation of joint programs, support to the development and advertising of the Armenian modern art, and contribution to the identification and unification of the Pan-Armenian professional potential in the sphere of culture.
The following events are envisaged within the framework of the Festival:
- 1. The opening ceremony of “Im Hayastan” (“My Armenia”) Pan-Armenian II Festival
- 2. “Days of Armenian Dance” (from July 1-10)
- Concerts in all marzes of Armenia, Artsakh;
- Oshakan traditional sweets day- “Village granny”, flesh mob (July 5);
- Master Class lessons for dance instructors;
- Provision of methodical materials to dance instructors /booklets, CDs/.
3. “Days of Choral Arts” (from August 1-August 5)
- Concerts in Yerevan and in marzes;
- Concerts dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Hovhannes Tchekidjian (Sport and Concert Complex);
- Provision of methodical materials (sheet music, music) to conductors.
4. “Poetry Evening” (August 16)
5. “Duduk and Other Armenian Musical Instruments Festival” (from September 20-25)
- Concerts in Yerevan and in marzes;
- Scientific and practical discussions on Armenian musical instruments accompanied by movies (September 22);
6. “Day of Armenian Songs” (September 26)
- Presentation of the first edition of the series of “National songbook” consisting of 36 volumes;
- Concert.
Dance groups, bands and individual performers (musicians, reciters) from different communities of Diaspora may take part in the Festival. Famous groups and individual performers from the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh will also take part in the Festival.
Within the framework of the Festival Master Class lessons for dance instructors and conductors, flash mobs, round tables, as well as meetings with state, public and cultural figures are envisaged.
The participants will be selected by the Arts Board of “Im Hayastan” (“My Armenia”) Pan-Armenian Festival according to the provided videos and recordings.
The comprehensive plan of the Festival will be drawn up following the review of participation applications.

Terms of participation in the Festival
In order to take part in the Festival, it is necessary to fill in the relevant application forms (will be sent following the approval by the Arts Board) and send them to the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia on the following e-mail address: imhayastan.paraton@yahoo.com
The Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia is ready to cover food and accommodation expenses (for 3 days) of some of the participants (who are in need of accommodation) within the framework of “Im Hayastan” (“My Armenia”) Pan-Armenian II Festival, as well as to provide relevant halls, transport means and necessary technical resources, and carry out the organizational works related to the Festival.
Dance groups, bands, musicians, reciters may take part in the Festival.
Participant groups and individuals must submit a final concert program lasting for up to 20 minutes (3-5 performances), a video of performance from the previous one year, booklets, pictures, posters and other materials.
The development of the final plan of the Festival will be possible only following the review of the applications; thus the participation of the given group or individual in the events program will be guaranteed, if the application has been submitted by May 1, 2014.
