Ambassador Apitonyan presents credentials to King of Sweden

On January 22, Armenia’s Ambassador to Sweden Artak Apitonyan presented his credentials to Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. The solemn ceremony at the royal palace was followed by private talks between Carl XVI Gustaf and Ambassador Apitonyan.

Congratulating Ambassador Apitonyan, Carl XVI Gustaf expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Stockholm and expressed certainty that the opening of this embassy and Sweden’s embassy in Yerevan will highly contribute to further development of relations between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Ambassador Apitonyan mentioned that it is a great honor to be the first resident Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Sweden and that he won’t spare any efforts to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and nations.

The sides expressed certainty that there are all the prerequisites for moving the political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries to a new qualitative level, reports the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”.
