Turk journalists to pay tribute to Hrant Dink

The Society of Journalists of Turkey will commemorate the assassination of Editor-in-Chief of Agos Weekly Hrant Dink on Jan. 20, reports Star newspaper.
The commemoration ceremony will be held on the sidelines of the conference on “Those who left a trace in their profession”.
Among the guests will be editor of Agos Weekly Robert Koptash, columnist for the weekly Karin Karakash and columnist for T24 website Aydn Engin.
Hrant Dink was born on September 15, 1954 in Malatia. He received his education in Istanbul and started pursuing his career in journalism as a correspondent for Marmara Armenian-language newspaper in the 1990s.
Dink went on to found his own Agos Weekly, which is published in Turkish and Armenian.
He has been arrested and sued for his daring articles several times.
Dink was assassinated near his editorial office in Istanbul on January 19, 2007.
