On 10 July, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Lebanon hosted a discussion with Director of “Armenpress” Armenian News Agency Aram Ananyan, Editors-in-Chief of Lebanon’s Aztag, Ararat and Zartonk Armenian Dailies Shahan Kandaharian, Ani Yepremian and Sevag Hagopian and Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan. As reported Diplomat for Activities with the Armenian Community in Lebanon at the Embassy Vladimir Poghosyan to Hayern Aysor, the participants of the discussion touched upon the issues of Armenian newspapers in the Diaspora and cooperation with Armenia’s media outlets in terms of regular exchange of top articles and analyses.

The special focus was on the three Armenian dailies of Lebanon, which serve as unique Armenian media outlets  in the Diaspora. The future steps required for expanding the circles of coverage of the dailies and engaging young readers were observed.

The participants attached importance to the holding of a forum that will be devoted to the items on the agenda of Armenian newspapers (dailies).
