During a July 12 extraordinary session that the Council of Elders of Yerevan convened by virtue of law at Yerevan Municipality, the 46 members of the Council of Elders unanimously voted in favor of Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan’s proposal to hold the snap elections for mayor of Yerevan on 16 July at 11:00.

Let us add that Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan resigned on 9 July.
