Yerevan to host events dedicated to 100th anniversary of Homenetmen (video)

From July 19 to 29, Armenia will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Homenetmen-Armenian General Athletic Union under the high patronage of President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan; His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians; His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
As reported Hayern Aysor, the 2,800-year-old capital of Yerevan will host about 3,000 members of Homenetmen, of which 1,200 scouts will participate in the 11th Scout Camp to be hosted in Byurakan and various kinds of events in Yerevan and Gyumri.
Established in 1918 in Constantinople, Homenetmen-Armenian General Athletic Union carries out its pro-national activities in 24 countries with the motto “Rise and Raise”.
Homenetmen has tens of thousands of members who have received an Armenian upbringing and have contributed to Armenia’s development and the preservation of the Armenian identity in the Diaspora.
