Lapshin posts video of Armenian visiting Azerbaijan and reaching parents’ home

Blogger Alexander Lapshin, who is a citizen of both Russia and Israel, has posted on his Facebook page a video showing the creator of the video presenting himself as an Armenian and talking about how he managed to visit Azerbaijan with a Belarusian passport.

“The Armenian with a Belarusian passport who managed to arrive in Azerbaijan and reach his parents’ home in Gyanja (Kirovabad),” wrote Lapshin.

Lapshin recalled that Azerbaijan prohibits people of Armenian descent from entering the country due to racist considerations. “As far as his parents and Gyanja are concerned, I must state that the Armenians escaped from Gyanja during the Karabakh war, and their homes were occupied by the Azerbaijanis,” noted the blogger, noting also that Azerbaijan’s national security officers have not recorded the fact that he is of Armenian descent, helping the young man prepare a wonderful report and leave the country.

“His short film shows how poor and evil average Azerbaijanis are, the horrible Armenophobia and the obsession of being spies everywhere in Azerbaijan. After leaving Azerbaijan, the boy traveled to Armenia and Karabakh,” writes the blogger.

Lapshin notes that the young man who taped the video took a huge risk since simply walking in Gyanja and asking about the homes left by Armenians could lead to the young man’s death before his arrest. “We’re expecting an addition to our honorable list, that is, Azerbaijan’s ?black list’,” joked Lapshin.
