Pilgrimage to Armenian Genocide Memorial Grove in Jerusalem

On June 2, the St. Hakobyants Congregation of Jerusalem and the Armenians of Salem organized a pilgrimage to the Memorial Grove established on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the “Armenian Mister Lord Estate” in 2015.

As reported the St. Hakobyants Congregation of Jerusalem to Hayern Aysor, first, a Requiem Service was performed for the patriarchs, congregates and servants of the Holy See and all deceased Armenians in front of the cross-stone placed in the grove, and after the ceremony, His Grace Archbishop Sevan Gharibian conveyed the message of the day to the attendees.

At the end of the pilgrimage, pieces of sacrificed lamb were granted to the attendees.

Let us add that this pilgrimage is the third one following the establishment of the Memorial Grove and has already become an annual event. It has already been approved by the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem Nourhan Manougian and registered in the church calendar of Jerusalem.
