Co-chair of pro-Kurdish party respects memory of Armenian Genocide victims
On April 23, Co-Chair of Turkey’s oppositional pro-Kurdish Democratic Party of Nations (HDP) Pervin Buldan respected the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in the Mejlis.
“The ancient people, the Armenians, who have lived on these lands, experienced a tragedy in the course of history. April 24th marks the anniversary of this historic tragedy. Sharing the pain of the Armenians, I would like to respect the memory of the victims. At the same time, I sincerely share the pain of all nations that have been repressed throughout the history of this republic,” the party’s co-chair said, reported ermenihaber.am.
The Turkish source reminds that earlier, Armenian MP of the HDP Garo Pailan had suggested that the Mejlis adopt a law on Armenian Genocide recognition.
