On March 6, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv Yeghiazar Uzunyan.

Greeting the guest, the Minister asked about news about the Armenian community of Bulgaria, attached importance to preservation of the identity and language of the young Armenians of Bulgaria and particularly stated the following: “The important thing is for young Armenians to be in Armenia at least once, get to know Armenian culture and traditions, meet their peers and make friends in Armenia. I urge you to show more active participation in the “Ari Tun” Program and “Diaspora” Summer School Program of the Ministry of Diaspora.”

The sides also discussed the programs for revitalization of Armenian-Bulgarian relations and indicated the scopes of cooperation and the future actions.
