Ukrainians are conducting a study on the biographies of remarkable Armenian writers, reported historian and representative of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Ruben Makaryan to AnalitikUA.net.

Ukrainians are exploring the biographies of the representatives of the Armenian community whose careers are linked to Ukraine (starting from the times of Kievan Rus’ and leading up to our days) and have made great contributions to various spheres. The creator of the project, historian and member of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Ruben Makaryan stated that the project is a research project conditionally entitled “Famous Armenians of Ukraine”.

“They are Armenians who changed their second homeland in the best ways, setting an example for their future generations. I have been conducting the research for over a decade. I have compiled the biographies of over 1,400 famous Armenians based on several criteria (state, political, social, cultural, religious, sport, etc.) that are linked to Ukraine,” Makaryan highlighted.

The Union of Armenians of Ukraine is actively working on popularizing the historical values of the Armenian nation. According to President of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Vilen Shatvoryan, science has traditionally been in the focus of the organization.
