Diaspora Minister hands Young Repatriate Award to Director of Teach For Armenia Foundation Larisa Hovhannisyan
On February 21, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in the final stage of the Youth Awards organized by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the solemn award ceremony at Yans Club.
Director of Teach For Armenia Foundation Larisa Hovhannisyan and main character of Armenian Public Television’s Road TV series Raffi Bedrosian had made it to the third, final stage in the Young Repatriate category of the competition as selected by the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
Based on the results of the vote, Larisa Hovhannisyan won in the Young Repatriate category.
The award was granted by Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, who greeted the attendees, attached importance to the activities being carried out by young repatriates in Armenia and stated the following: “I believe the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs has undertaken a wonderful initiative by valuing and appreciating the work done by young Armenians who have achieved success in and are making contributions to various fields. By including the Young Repatriate category, young Diaspora Armenians are presented as an example of young Armenians Larisa, Raffi and others like them who have discovered the homeland and have made their contributions to the solution to the problems in Armenia. I am certain that their work, image and successful experiences will serve as a great impulse for thousands of young Diaspora Armenians.”
