Armenian chef included in list of Crimea’s top chefs

Russia’s “Московский комсомолец. Крым” newspaper has prepared a list of the top 15 chefs of Crimea, which includes Davit Terterov, who is of Armenian descent and is a chef of a restaurant in Sevastopol.

“Davit came onto the scene quite unexpectedly. He was born in Tbilisi into an Armenian family for which cooking was a typical thing,” writes the Russian newspaper, stating that the Armenian chef’s first and main mentors were his mother and grandmother, reports tert.am.

“We would celebrate, harvest grapes, make wine and prepare sweet sujukh on holidays. This was the typical for us, and everyone understood it. Later, it turned out that I can also make dishes,” Davit says, adding that the first dish he ever made was an omelet with his grandmother’s recipe.

The newspaper also reports that the Armenian chef has worked with several famous chefs of Russia and has even worked in Sweden.

It is also stated that Davit, whom his customers love for being happy and straightforward, is better known in Crimea for the steaks and other meaty dishes that he makes.
