Ambassador Ghazaryan meets with leader of Armenian Catholic Community of Poland

On January 19, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan had a meeting with Archbishop of Warsaw, leader of the Armenian Catholic Community of Poland, Cardinal Casimir Nich.
As reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor, during the meeting, the sides touched upon issues related to the Armenian community of Poland. Ambassador Ghazaryan provided the Cardinal with information about the major events that were held as part of the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Armenia and to the 650th anniversary of the special privilege granted to the Armenian community of Poland throughout the year.
The interlocutors touched upon the rich Christian heritage of Armenia, recalling the visits of Pope John Paul II and Pope Francis I to Armenia that can set an example for all Christians in Poland to make pilgrimages to the first Christian nation.
On January 21, at the initiative of the Foundation for Cultural Heritage of the Armenians of Poland, pastor of the Armenian Catholic Church in Warsaw and central Poland Yuzef Naumovich served a Holy Mass at the Dominican Church in central Warsaw, after which Archbishop of Warsaw, leader of the Armenian Catholic Community of Poland, Cardinal Casimir Nich consecrated the 17th century inscriptions on the tombstones of renowned Armenian figure Hakob (Yacoub) Minasovich and his wife placed on the wall of the Church. RA Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryran also participated in the ceremony.
