On January 20, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan received President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Berge Setrakian.

As reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor, greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandyan praised the AGBU’s contributions to the spiritual, educational and cultural development of the Armenian people and to preservation of the Armenian identity.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and the appraisal of the AGBU’s activities, Berge Setrakian assured that the AGBU would continue its pro-national activities and its activities aimed at strengthening the bonds between Armenia and the Diaspora.

Current and long-term programs of the AGBU were discussed during the meeting.

Edward Nalbandyan and Berge Serakian also touched upon issues on the pan-Armenian agenda.

Member of the AGBU Central Board Vasken Yacoubian was also attending the meeting.
