Mayor of Jerusalem visits Armenian Patriarchate

On January 16, on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas, Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat visited the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem and had a meeting with the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Archbishop Nourhan Manougian.

As reported Hayern Aysor, during the meeting, the mayor was informed about the Armenian Patriarch’s concerns and future plans. His Holiness talked about repairing the cupolas of the Holy Savior and Saint Jacob churches, building the floor on the field of Bishop Karapet and the open-air altar on Armenian land near St. Philip’s Fountain, organizing pilgrimages to Akeldama once a year and several other issues.
