Pan-Armenian Association of Information and Telecommunication Technologies to be established

On December 15, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Chief Architect of Synopsys, President of Synopsys Armenia CJSC Yervant Zorian; Executive Director of Synopsys Armenia CJSC Hovik Musaelyan; President of the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies Armen Baldryan; representative of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation Zhenya Azizyan; Deputy Director of VivaCell-MTS Tovmas Mazejian (Lebanon) and General Manager of Viasfer Technopark Varoujan Masarjian (Syria).
Issues related to the importance of creating an association and network of IT specialists, its significance and the need for the creation of a pan-Armenian IT platform were discussed during the meeting. The attendees initially gave their consent to the proposal of the Minister of Diaspora to establish a Pan-Armenian Association of Information and Telecommunication Technologies. The Ministry of Diaspora has already established pan-Armenian professional associations. Pan-Armenian associations of architects, lawyers and doctors have been established and are operating. “We have already organized 104 professional forums and conferences that are aimed at creating a pan-Armenian network,” the Minister mentioned. An agreement was reached on disseminating a joint declaration/call urging Armenians abroad to return to Armenia and work in their homeland.
The next step will be to create groups of ITT specialists in different countries in order to organize their meeting in Armenia in the future. The Minister presented several priorities that will foster the creation of a network of ITT specialists, the development of education, the organizing of repatriation of specialists and more.
The participants of the discussion welcomed the proposal and emphasized that this will revitalize the relations of ITT specialists in Armenia, the Diaspora and within the Diaspora. The consolidation of ITT specialists will help strengthen protection and cyber security since the specialists will invest their knowledge in the development of the ITT sector in Armenia.
