Armenia to produce trucks

AA Trucks will produce multifunctional trucks with innovative technologies with a $46 million investment in the course of the next five years.

Press secretary of the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Anna Ohanyan told PanARMENIAN.Net that the trucks of the Armenian-American company will be exported to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, the United States, Georgia, Iran, as well as countries in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Head of the Armenia branch of AA Trucks Armen Gagikyan informed that the trucks will be jointly produced by Armenians and Americans and stated that the trucks will be offered to various companies and power structures.

“The interior design of the truck will be matched with the activities of the client and the goals of exploitation,” Armen Gagikyan said.

In October, by the Armenian government’s decision, AA Trucks was granted permission to operate in the Alliance free economic zone in Armenia.

It has been announced that the investment would make up nearly $40 million. The new company will create 40 new jobs in the first two years with an average salary of AMD 150,000 and more than 1,000 new jobs as a result of growth in production volumes.
