On November 3, the opening center of the newly established center of the Shahinshahr branch of Ararat Armenian Sport and Cultural Union of New Julfa was held in Shahinshahr. Among the attendees were Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan, Fr. Supreme Archimandrite Sipan Kechejian; spiritual superintendent of Shahinshahr, Fr. Supreme Archimandrite Anania Gujanian; Fr. Priest Sahak Minasian; Deputy of the Armenians of Isfahan and Southern Iran in the Islamic Parliament Zhorzhik Abrahamian; representatives of the bodies and sub-bodies of the national authorities of the Diocese and others.

Hayern Aysor, citing the website of the Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan, reports that the ceremony began with welcoming remarks by the Master of Ceremonies Maria Khudaverdian; Chairman of the Diocesan Council Varouj Minasian; chairman of the board of Ararat Armenian Sport and Cultural Union Masis Minasian and board member of the Shahinshahr branch Aris Davtian.

The pupils of St. Vardanants Armenian National School performed beautiful songs under the direction of Narbeh T. Grigoryan) and recited poems, and Nune Mkrtchian’s Kroonk Armenian Dance Group of the Cultural Unit of Ararat Armenian Sport and Cultural Union performed dances.

After the official part of the event, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan, Fr. Supreme Archimandrite Sipan Kechejian conveyed his patriarchal message.
