On November 3, the Armenian National Cultural Center of Uzbekistan, at the initiative and under the sponsorship of Martin Setyan, held an interesting charity event. The members of the cultural center and the students of the local Armenian Sunday school visited the Republican Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery of Disabled Children and organized a real celebration for 10 children undergoing treatment and 80 members of the medical staff.
As reported the Armenian National Cultural Center of Uzbekistan to Hayern Aysor, the Armenians of Uzbekistan had prepared for the event well and had done everything possible to make the event joyful and unforgettable. They had organized a festive reception, a concert and entertaining games and had prepared gifts for children. The focus of the event was the traditional Armenian Kochari dance that everyone performed. If only one saw how the eyes of the children lit up and how excited they were. It seemed as though they were in a magical world in a fairy tale and had forgotten about their pain and diseases.
Among the attendees were representatives of the Uzbek government, the public television station and mass media representatives. The Public Television of Uzbekistan provided wide coverage of the event.
