On October 15, on the occasion of the 26^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, the Mesrop Mashtots Armenian Union of Belgium hosted an event devoted to Armenian culture. The purpose of the event was to present Armenian history to foreigners through Armenian music and dances.

As reported the Union’s director Lusine Nersisyan to Hayern Aysor, the event featured a performance of the dance “Vardanank” by HAYK Armenian Dance Group of Brussels (artistic director Arthur Nikoghosyan).

The event also featured performances of the works of Armenian composers by pianist Anna Aslanyan, dudukist Andranik Muradyan and violinist Armen Beknazaryan.

The concert was followed by an interesting conversation devoted to Armenian culture.
