On September 24, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians hosted the 11^th grade students of the Mekhitarist School of Buenos Aires at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The students were accompanied by His Eminence, Fr. Supreme Archimandrite Yeghia Kilaghpian and the School’s correspondent for relations with Armenia Adriana Shouparalian, reported the Information Service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to Hayern Aysor.

Conveying his patriarchal love and blessing to the sons of the Armenian nation, His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the administration of the School for organizing the students’ pilgrimage to Mother Armenia.

The Supreme Patriarch recalled his visit to the Mekhitarist School during his Pontifical Visit to Argentina and talked about the pro-national services of the educational institution’s benefactors with appreciation.

The Catholicos of All Armenians attached importance to such visits, which not only provide Diaspora Armenians with the opportunity to know their homeland, but also leave an indelible trace in the souls of the young Diaspora Armenians and become a source of inspiration for the rest of their lives. His Holiness voiced confidence that the foreign students of the School would also return to Argentina with great impressions.

The young students also answered questions from the Catholicos of All Armenians. The questions were related to the School and their impressions of the visit to Armenia. In his turn, His Holiness answered the students’ questions of interest.

After the meeting, the young Armenians attended a Holy Mass served in the Mother Cathedral.
