Opening ceremony of “We Sing Komitas” Pan-Armenian Festival was held

On September 25, Komitas Chamber Music Hall hosted the opening ceremony of the “We Sing Komitas” Pan-Armenian Festival organized by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan was attending the opening ceremony.

The opening concert featured performances of the songs of Komitas and other Armenian composers by Vardavar Armenian Choir (Jordan), Sayat-Nova Armenian Choir (Turkey), Aghbyur Armenian Choir (Georgia), Byurakan Armenian Choir (Armenia), Narek Armenian Vocal Ensemble (Iran), Nayirian Armenian Vocal Ensemble (Armenia), as well as performers Michael Kocharyan, Elvira Margaryan, Hrachuhi Gevorgyan (Russia), Sona Talyan (Germany), Johnny Keokjian (Beirut), Serly Rostomian (Iran), Nara Noyan (Belgium), Vardouhi Toroian (Jordan), Soseh Krikorian (Jerusalem), Lilit Davtyan (Armenia), Arpi Sinanyan (Armenia) and Hayk Yesayan (Armenia).

The “We Sing Komitas” Pan-Armenian Festival will end on September 28. The festival has gathered choirs and soloists from Armenia, Artsakh and 12 other countries and will feature concerts in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor.
