On September 19, the fourth panel session of the 6^th Armenia-Diaspora Pan-Armenian Conference was held under the heading “Specifics of the Defense Policy of the Republic of Armenia Amid Current Challenges”.

The speakers of the session entitled “Military-Industrial Complex: Promoting Modernization, Cooperation and Economic Advancement” touched upon the opportunities for the enhancement of Armenia’s military-industrial complex, particularly the prospective plans and ideas for advancement in the fields of science, research and technology, as well as the main issues related to goal-oriented use of the existing potential and resources in Armenia and in the international arena.

Among the speakers were representatives of stakeholder government agencies and structures, as well as several Armenian and international organizations dealing with research and analysis. They gave speeches and made proposals related to new investments in the defense sector, the engagement and use of the technological potential of Armenia and the Diaspora, the organizing of research and experimental/design works, as well as the enhancement of the potential for export of military products of the Republic of Armenia.
