Putin signs law on creating a unified military unit with Armenia

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has ratified the agreement on having a unified military unit with Armenia.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the law on having a unified military unit with Armenia. The relevant document has been posted on the legal information platform, reports armeniasputnik.am.
“The agreement on the creation of a unified grouping of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation signed in Moscow on 30 November 2016 has been ratified,” the document reads.
Earlier, the agreement had been ratified by the State Duma and the Federal Council of the Russian Federation. In June 2016, the Government of the Republic of Armenia had given consent to the draft law and had sent it to the National Assembly for ratification.
