Interpol rejects Azerbaijan’s request to apprehend Czech Member of European Parliament for visiting Artsakh

Interpol has rejected Azerbaijan’s request to grant the right to apprehend Czech Member of the European Parliament Jaromír Štětina, reported radio.cz, according to Armenpress.
This request comes after Stetina visited Nagorno-Karabakh in February and condemned the Azerbaijani authorities’ actions against Nagorno-Karabakh.
In this regard, the Czech Republic declared that, with this, Azerbaijan wanted to avoid hearing the negative responses and evaluations of the international community.
On February 22, Azerbaijani presses released information according to which the Azerbaijani authorities had declared international persecution against Members of the European Parliament Frank Engel (Luxembourg), Eleni Theocharous (Cyprus) and Jaromír Štětina (Czech Republic) for visiting Artsakh and observing the constitutional referendum. Rejection of the request for Stetina’s arrest is the failure of Azerbaijan’s infamous “black list”.
