RA Ministry of Diaspora hosts teleconference with representatives of Armenian communities of Estonia and Lithuania
On June 29, the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia hosted a teleconference with representatives of the Armenian communities of Estonia and Lithuania.
In her welcoming remarks, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Armenian community, educational and cultural institutions of the two countries who are able to undertake and implement numerous programs for preservation of the Armenian identity far away from Armenia.
The Minister of Diaspora called on showing more active participation in the programs and projects of the Ministry and stated that, in an age of high technologies, it is necessary to take advantage of the opportunities for maintenance of bonds with the Homeland and investing knowledge and experience in Armenia more effectively.
Touching upon the investment opportunities in Armenia, Minister Hranush Hakobyan emphasized that Armenians must take advantage of the fact that they are Armenia in order to help the country advance.
“In September 2017, the Ministry of Diaspora will host the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Pan-Armenian Conference, and we hope to see the active participation of the representatives of the Armenian communities of Lithuania and Estonia as well. The year 2018 is a year of anniversary for all Armenians since it is the year marking the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia and the 2,800th anniversary of the establishment of the city of Yerevan. We will be waiting for you here with open arms,” the Minister stated.
